I have dreamt of a fairy tale,
With all the challenges that it will entail.
Whatever wishes and dreams that come with it,
I was set to make them all seem fit.
Somehow it’s not how I imagine it to be,
To go down the path that most people disagree.
But even when all have gone astray,
You still won’t budge away.
Sometimes I wish I could change things,
So that we could enjoy what that other life brings.
But it was more of a wishful thinking,
As life can’t just be changed with a series of blinking.
I’ve had my share amount of hurt,
And grew so fed-up and tired.
Often feeling being taken for granted,
Being washed away, and left stranded.
I’ll act up, throw tantrums and push you away,
But come what may, you chose to stay.
It could be fated, it could be destiny,
Or there’s something wrong with us both mentally.
At times the whole world seems to be against us,
Creating all sorts of hassles and fuss.
I guess we just need to figure it out,
What this is all about.
We may not have it all,
But at least we’re still standing, high and tall.
